Proceeding in the Kandiyohi County District Court to condemn land for trunk highway purposes wherein certain landowners and
the state appealed from awards of the commissioners. The appeals were tried together before E. R. Selnes, Judge, and a jury,
which awarded $2,039 to Anthony P. Peterson and $4,213 to Norman H. Tallakson. The court denied appellants' alternative motions
for judgment notwithstanding the verdicts or for a new trial if the state consented to the verdicts' being increased by $575
and $1,000 respectively, which it did. Appellants thereafter appealed from said orders. AUTHOR: NELSON
